The Ottawa Valley contains over 7645km of coursing waterways, rolling woodlands and dramatic landmasses. It cradles the historic Ottawa River along an ancient fault that runs between the 300m heights of the Laurentian Mountains in the southeast, from the national capital region of Ottawa, to the highlands of the Algonquin Dome, the lower portion of Algonquin Park in the southwest.
