Dragonflies

Damselflies and dragonflies are found in wetlands, creeks, lakes and rivers and even in flooded gravelpits. But some species drift away from their breeding grounds and can be found on forest trails, roads and grasslands, places that are easily accessed with a net and camera. With the proper resources (http://www.renfrewcountybiotabase.on.ca/rcb/Odonates.html) one can identify most damsels and dragonflies. The book by Colin Jones et al, from the Friends of Algonquin Park bookstore is essential.
