Dog Sledding

Dog Sledding
Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to soar down snow-covered trails behind a team of beautiful and athletic sled dogs? The Ottawa Valley is home to a number of dog sledding tour operators waiting to help you experience this uniquely Canadian adventure!

Escapade Eskimo is a husband and wife business operating from Otter Lake, Quebec. Whether you wish to take the family out for a dog sled, skijor, geo-cash, cross country ski, trap or just go for a hike and forest bathe, Escapade is the place for you. They even offer a small chalet for gatherings where you can enjoy a hot tub and a meal after a good days adventuring! A “must do” winter activity with your family this season.

Timberland Tours is the dream of Denis Rozon who has raced dogs for more than 40 years. Located in Bristol, Quebec, Timberland Tours offers year round dog sledding opportunities. Whether on skis in the snow or on wheels in a cart, Denis's unique German Pointer, Greyhound and Alaskan Husky mixes are specially bred to be fast. Timberland Tours is also host to the Bristol Dryland Championships which is a Canadian dog race competition which takes place in October each year.
