Cross Country Skiing

The Opeongo Hills Nordic Ski Club maintains over 10 km of classic and skate-ski trails located at the end of Drohan Road in Brudenell, not far from Killaloe, Ontario. This club offers special events.
The Madawaska Nordic Ski Club exists thanks to volunteer ski enthusiasts and a unique partnership with the
Township of Greater Madawaska. The Nordic ski club working under the Township’s Recreation Department, are responsible for development, maintenance and grooming of cross-country ski trails within the Township. They have 6 trails ranging from 2km to 6km in return loops. The club also offers activities, training and day use passes for their trail network.
Calabogie Peaks Resort offers cross country and snowshoe trails in the lake front property of the resort as well as offering equipment rentals. The Manitou Hiking trails, located behind the resort are perfect for snowshoeing and offer the user a variety of trails on Crown land with various degrees of difficulty.
The Pembroke Area Cross Country Ski Club (PAXC) is a volunteer organization that manages 12+ km of fantastic cross country skiing - both classic and skating - as well as host a kid's ski school, social events, and races. We manage the Forest Lea ski trails, located between Pembroke and Petawawa (Ontario, Canada) at the end of Forest Lea Rd. (5km south of Trans Canada Hwy. 17). Memberships available and visitors are welcome.
Deep River Cross Country Ski Club (DRXC) maintains over 100kms of trails within the Silver Spoon, Cabin, Forestry and Plant Trail Systems located in the Deep River, Chalk River and Petawawa areas. This club offers children ski instruction, social events and races.
Mount Pakenham has 20 km of scenic trails and is just a short drive from Ottawa. Pick up a trail map at the front counter when you purchase your trail pass. Snowshoers please keep to one side (off the track set) when walking on the cross-country trails.
Terrace Provincial Park in Petawawa is a 215 ha natural environment class park, managed by the Ministry of Natural Resources, with approximately 6km of trails that are groomed during the winter for skiing.
Jubilee Lodge & Marina, located on Garrison Petawawa, has a number of ski trails of varying degrees of difficulty available for public use. The lodge offers ski rentals, on a limited schedule, predominately during the weekends.
Logos Land Resort, located on Hwy 17 near Cobden ON, has a variety of open and forested trails available for the cross country skiing and snowshoeing. They also offer a free outdoor skating rink and tubing runs and have a restaurant service in close proximity to all of these offerings.
Ski Pontiac offers over 10km of groomed and tracked cross-country trails within the picturesque grounds of the Pine Lodge Golf Club, in Pontiac, Quebec. This club hosts many events and activities, including moonlight skiing and snowshoeing.
