Geocaching in the Ottawa ValleyTreasure Hunting for Prizes!Pack your GPS units and head to the scenic Ottawa Valley in Renfrew County. This region has become a popular geocaching destination with over 300 caches sites scattered throughout the area. Geocaching promotes the wise use of trails and leaves no ecological footprint. It is fun for the whole family and all ages and is a great way to explore the great outdoors. GPS coordinates for cache sites can be found by visiting www.geocaching.com. If you forgot your GPS unit at home or do not own one, the Ottawa Valley Tourist Association can help! We have units avaialble for rent (free of charge). A credit card is required for a damage deposit but will not be charged if the unit is returned in proper working order. It is recommended that you call or e-mail prior to arriving to ensure units are available. Units are available for pick-up at the Ottawa Valley Tourist Association's head office, located in Pembroke, Ontario. Happy Geocaching!
