Hyde's Bay Model Train Museum
Hyde s Bay Model Train Museum

The only working public model railroad exhibit in the area.  

The exhibit includes working models of a sawmill, coal mine, ski-hill lift, train turntable as well as dozens of other buldings streets, vehicles, people, street lighting, etc.

Admission is $5 per person

Open Friday and Saturday during July and August or by appointment for small groups

Madonna House

Founded by Catherine Doherty, this community of men, women and priests, are committed to living the Gospel in everyday life.  Discover more about the community by taking a tour: Mondays-Saturdays at 11am and 2pm.


Gift Shops and Art Gallery

Handcrafted jewelry, candles, and pottery are for sale, as well as fine jewelry, crystal, china, and other antiques and collectibles.  Original artwork by Madonna House staff are on display.  All items in our shops have been donated and proceeds go to support the poor. Open Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10am to 5pm.


Pioneer Museum

Take a stroll through the Pioneer Museum, where hundreds of artifacts help to depict the joys and challenges of life in the Ottawa Valley.  This is a great place to learn about the lives of the early men and women who made their homes in the Madawaska Valley.  Admission is free.

Moore Hydro MuseumThe Pembroke Hydro Museum officially opened in October 1984 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first street light that was installed in Pembroke. The Museum was later dedicated in honor of Murray L. Welcome to the Petawawa Heritage Village, where we celebrate the settlement era and immigrant story of early Canada. We focus on the stories of the German founding families, and stretch back thousands of years to the traditions and teachings of the First Nations people.

The PetawawaHeritage Village is offering site rentals for family special occasions.  If you are looking for a large outdoor space where your family can gather in a very unique setting and share a special time then we may have what you are looking for.   You can rent by the hour or you can rent for the day.  Booking must be paid 50% down in advance.  Cancellations will only be re-embursed if we receive 2 weeks notice. Polish Kashub Heritage Museum
Polish Kashub Heritage Museum

This open-air ethnographic museum was built by the Wilno Heritage Society and  tells the story of the Polish Kashub immigrants and their descendants in Canada using artifacts, antique Wilno furniture, machinery, tools, buildings and homestead stones. Old and new buildings in a beautiful park setting. Colourful Kashubian revival costumes, pottery and embroidery. Resource Library with a large family history section.
