Calabogie Peaks Introduces Newly Improved Ski Trail

Calabogie, ON: Calabogie Peaks Resort is introducing their newly improved ski trail, “Face of the Tiger”, also known as Barrett Chute. The Peaks’ staff have been hard at work prior to the opening, removing massive amounts of rock and trees to open the “Face of the Tiger”.

The “Face” that takes up the middle of the run has been, up until now, impossible terrain to ski because of the open rock and trees that covered it. With the face now open and cleared, skiers and boarders alike can ski down the new face, instead of retreating to the “chutes” that were on either side of the rock cliff.

“We are happily surprised to see skiers/boarders of all abilities trying out the new “Face of the Tiger” on Barrett Chute,” noted Paul Murphy, President of Calabogie Peaks Resort. “Having removed the amounts of rock and trees, allows for a much wider, friendlier run.” th year in operation.

Calabogie Peaks Resort predicts that Barrett Chute will be their new signature run and they will continue to work on more improvements coming this spring as they enter their 40

Calabogie Peaks Resort offers the highest vertical and the longest beginner trail in Eastern Ontario. With 22 great runs, the terrain caters to all ages and abilities. Come experience excellent conditions with professional grooming and expanded snowmaking that covers the entire mountain. Enjoy two quad lifts, carpet lift, tubing hill and two terrain parks.
