The Ontario's Highlands Tourism Organization (OHTO), also referred to as Regional Tourism Organization-11 or RTO-11, encompasses Renfrew County, Lanark County, Haliburton County, as well as parts of Hastings County, County of Lennox & Addington, and Frontenac County. The OHTO has been established pursuant to the Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Culture’s request to create an independent, industry-led, not-for-profit organization responsible for working with tourism partners to enhance and grow the region’s tourism products and marketing activities.
By providing regional leadership and coordination, the OHTO helps to build and support a competitive and sustainable tourism region to attract more visitors, generate more economic activity and create more jobs across the region.

Ontario's Highlands Tourism Organization (RTO-11) will be seeking experienced consultants and firms to carry out a variety of initiatives. Contractors are encouraged to check this website regularly for opportunities to present proposals to the Transition Board.
The success of RTO-11 depends on the cooperation and collaboration of a variety of sub-regional Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) and Economic Development Associations. A new Regional Tourism Organization has recently been established to build and support a competitive tourism region for the Counties of Renfrew, Haliburton, Lanark, Hastings, Lennox and Addington and Frontenac. The organization is seeking a collaborative team of tourism professionals to carry out product development and marketing initiatives until March 31, 2012.
