Winter in the Ottawa Valley means lots of snow and crisp temperatures – perfect snowmobiling weather for sledding enthusiasts! By mid-December, when a blanket of snow covers the land, a quarter-century of trail building opens the landscape and makes the wilderness even more accessible.
Renfrew County offers snowmobile enthusiasts over 2,400km of groomed Trans Ontario Provincial (TOP) trails and local trails that wind through picturesque villages, along abandoned rail beds, past old mine sites and ghost towns. Regional clubhouses dot the Valley and host special competitions and community events all winter long.
