CPR Model Train Exhibit and Historic Blacksmithing


March 13th 2011 until March 19th 2011

Valley Lines Model Train Club will be presenting a CPR Model Train Exhibit in the Founders Hall of the Champlain Trail Museum.    This exhibit will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.  Admission is $2.00 for adults, $1.00 for youth and children under 10 years of age are free.  In addition this year there will be an antique firefighting display and plumbing artifacts on display.
Also, each weekend in March, Joshua Van Noy, a certified historical blacksmith, will be offering an Introduction to Blacksmithing course in the Museum’s blacksmith shop.  The course will cover basic techniques of forging, tools, and how to set up your own shop.  Students in the course will make some basic tools to take home, receive a package about blacksmithing and a certificate of achievement.
