The Ottawa Valley Presents:  Inspirational and Gospel - From Joni Mitchell to Amazing Grace

 It wouldn't be summer in the Valley without a rip-roaring, hand-clapping, pew-shaking Gospel concert from the Ottawa Valley Music Festival. On Sunday, August 14th the Festival presents Inspiration and Gospel: From Joni Mitchell to Amazing Grace at Trinity St. Andrews United Church in Renfrew. The Chorus and Orchestra will be joined by guest soloist, the extraordinarily gifted bass-baritone Jerod Bertram. Originally from Nanaimo, BC, Jerod is trained in both Jazz and Opera; he was named Outstanding Soloist for Jazz Vocals by the Lionel Hampton International Jazz Festival in 1996, and he was one of only eight people selected for the University of Toronto's Opera Program. Jerod has been seen throughout Canada and the US as well as in Europe singing concerts of jazz, gospel, art song and oratorio as well as performing on the stage in opera and musical theatre.
