On Friday Feb. 17th and Saturday Feb. 18th Heritage Pembroke will be presenting Heritage Day at the Pembroke Mall. Exhibits will be open on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m in the store front across from Dizzy Lizzy’s. Admission is free. Stop by and learn about what is happening with local heritage in Pembroke and area during the sesquicentennial of Canada this year.
Heritage displays and demonstrations that will be featured include the Champlain Trail Museum and Pioneer Village, Royal Canadian Legion Br. 72 Museum, 42nd Field Regimental Museum (Lanark and Renfrew Scottish), Calvin United Church Archives, Murray L. Moore Hydro Museum, the Upper Ottawa Valley Genealogical Group and Pembroke History Tours. This event is a kick-off to Heritage Week in Ontario, February 20th to 26th.
