The River valley Art guild is a group of people who enjoy creating visual art.


The idea for a Guild arose in 2005 among a few artists and friends who came up with the idea of forming a local group to consider matters of mutual interest and benefit. Artists usually work alone, but can gain from sharing with others.


Meetings are a good place to network, to share information about materials and other resources. The Guild provides an opportunity to discuss concerns, share skills through demonstrations, enjoy inspirational material, and even to critique each other's work-in-progress in a supportive way.


The Guild has held annual exhibitions, at the Pembroke Legion, the first in 2006. The annual exhibition is an opportunity to showcase the members' work.
